THE BALLOON ACCIDENT.
London, August 28 It appears that Mr J. H. Simmons, the aeronaut, with two companions, had ascended m a balloon with the intention of crossing the English channel and proceeding to Vienna, when owing to an accident the balloon collapsed and fell to the ground m Essex, Simmons being killed and his two companions seriously injured. At the Exhibition being held at South Kensington, balloon asceuts are made every Monday.
