' Wednesday, August 29. \ 1 business. The Council met at 11 a.m. and passed the Property Tax Bill through all its stapes. The Native Bills were referred to a Committee to report upon. A message was received from the House of Representatives, stating that they hid agreed to the amendments made by the Council In the Land Transfer Act Amendment Bill, with the exoeption of the retention of section 13. On the motion of the Attorney- General It was agreed not to acoede to the proviso m clause 13 as made by the House of Representatives, and a message to that effeafc was ordered to be sent to the other Chamber, A number of Bills were pasaed and othera advanced a stage.
