ENCOUNTER WITH NATIVES.
News has been received from New Guinea of a serious encounter with New Britain Natives by Judge Schmeile, the judge for Kaiser Withelmsland and the Bismarck Archipelago. Judge Scbmeile is on a private exploring tour at New Britain and was accompanied by three Germans and two other whites. The party was attacked by Natives but after a short struggle the latter were driven off through not before the judge was shot m the hand and other members of the party speared, one seriously m the back. All were recovering from the wounds when the steamer left New Guinea.
