At a meeting of the West Harbor Council to-night, it was stated that a good deal of destitution prevailed among the unemployed, and ft was decided to wait on Mr J. Mills, M.H.R , to get him to induce the Government to plaoe a sum on the Supplementary Estimates to provide work In repairing roads.
