Preeoott, a well-known pro■peotor, discovered a reef when looking fot gold In the mountains m a portion of the island, about 700 feat under the top of the highest hill, Presoott says there •re two reefs each upwards of 6ft m thickness. Experts pronounce the ore good,, and there Is plenty of water close at band for dreastog the ore for shipment. Alleged Robbery* Wbiaington, August 27. Tn the B.M Court this morning James Parker, John Winters and Arthur Moeller were charged with robbery from the person of on 3 MoEwen on Saturday night week, The two former were discharged and Moeller remanded till two cfrdock In the absence of the .prosecutor.
