The Oourcil met at 2.30 p m In the Ooonoil a motion to impend the Standing O dera co as to enable Bills to be " rushed through" at one slitlne, was lost on the cistlng vote of the Speaker. Among other business the following Bills were c mmitted and paiaed :— Crown and Naive Linda Rating Aot Repeal Bill, Loo»l Bodies Aot Amendment Bill, and Government L'fa liauranoe Bill. The greater pirt of the sitting was devoted to the Native BIHb, ot wh»oh the Council was still engaged when the Telegraph Odea olo3ed.
