MOUNT SOMERS.
■ , » (From our own Co-respondent.) The weather is still as fickle as ever. We had another spell of rain for about a week It began on Friday night and lasted w'th lltfe Intermieslon till last night. " Ah," said a weatherw ; sa friend to me, '• that's what wo want ! The weather will never clear till the anow Is off the mountains. This mizz'e will fetch it down ? But thia morulng the mountains are as full of snow as ever, and a rousing gale Is knocking the 'oose shingles off, strewing tbem far and wide. On last Friday a posse of carpenters and painters made tbe r appearance, to renovate t^o sohnol and master's house. They hop°d to finish their work this week, but the weather <ras too much for them Meanwhile the children have a holiday, whioh la likely to be prolonged till Wednesday or Thursday next. How about the eia ntn ton? Of oouisa Divine Service and Sund y School are also out of question, as the eotiool is bring painted inside. I regret to have to ofnooio'e the death of Mr Blmmler'a (Alford Forra ) eldcgt dnghter. Muoh sorrow is felt for he family of the deceased, who erj y the respect of all who know them.
