Anglan in favor of W. Anglan, at Ballantyne and Co.'b, drapers, and being asked to endorse did so as W. Anglan, and ho said he was W. Anglan. JHe bought £2 worth of Roods and got the balance in change. The facts being proved, Mr O. Perry, for the defenoe, argued there was no forgery, as Ballantyne and Co. relied on Uta- credit of the person presenting it, and not on a third party. They knew no other than this pretended W. Anglan. The charge ought to have been one of false pretences. The Crown Prosecutor admitted the case cited was fatal, and the Judge directed according. Bueben Johnson, ex-publioan, Grraldine, got six months' hard labor for fraudulent bankruptcy. He had received about £160 a month before be wafl declared a bankrupt, and accounted for only half of it.
