Owing to an error in transmission in the cable published this morning it was made to appear that Admiral Tryon favored the expenditure of ten millions for the purchase of ironclads, whereas it should have read, Japan is favorable, etc. Robert Stewart, who was convicted on a charge of causing the death of Thomas Park by assaulting him while confined in a cell at the Central Police Station on 25th May, will be executed on September 11 th.
