V" Romb, August 19. Signor Crispi, the Italian Premier, m replying to M. Goblet, the French Minister for Foreign Affairs, states that there is no necessity for Italy to notify tbe Powers of the occupation of Massowah. He accused France, which bas interest m Massowah, m intervening m favor of the Greek residents with the object of bringing about the present difficulty. Signor Crispi asserts that Italy will defend to tbe last her interests m the Red Sea, and that Massowah has been annexed m the cause of Justice and civilisation.
