The House met at 2. 80. p.tm The Premier said he deeply fegf titled having to inform the Home of the death . of another Member of Parliament. The ; late Dr Menzles was one of tha oldeit 1 members of the legislature, and the Premier felt sure the House would agree 1 with him when he moved an adjournment till 7.30 out of respeot to the memory of the deceased gentleman. ; 1 Mr Lance seconded the motion and 1 alluded briefly to the lost the oolony has . sustained by the death of one who wat ) deservedly esteemed for the many good I qualities be possessed. 1 Dr Hodgklnson, Mr Cowan, Sir John 1 Hall, Mi Feldwiok, Mr Stewart, and Mr . Fulton also spoke briefly m terms of . regret of Dr Menzlei' death,' and at 1 12.45 the House adjourned till the , evening.
