It was only « few days ago that the deoaaied geatlemati sit la his seat apparently m good health* and none of the councillors contemplated then that his death would haw occurred so soon. Sir Frederick' Whltakes then moved the adjournment of theGouno 1 tilt to-morrow. • This was agreed to without further comment.
