QUEENSLAND.

Brisbane, Aqgaat 15, At Georgetown to-day a quarrel arose between two men named Walsh and Kilday, when Walsh drew a reyolver and shot ths latter, who expired m a few minutes. The steamer Afghan, 1439 tons, from Foo Chow to Sydney, with 5000 tons of tea, has gone ashore on the Cockburn Reef, Torres Straits, The fore comprrtment is full of water, and about 500 tons of tea are damaged. It is probable the steamer will be floated off.
