Sydnby, Aagaifc 15. A fatal accident occurred to-day at Bourke. At a picnic party a van proceeding to the picnic capsized and the occupants were thrown out. Two girls named Power and McCarty and a boy named Payne were killed arid six others were seriously injured. ,■ A ballot of the policy-holders' of the Australian Mutual Provident Society took place , on the proposal of the Directors to establish an Officers' Provident Fund. , It resulted m favor of the scheme by a majority of 15,000. Mr McElhone has protested against trie method of carrying out the ballot for the Australian Mutual Society's Provident Fund, and will take the case into the Equity Court m order to teat its legality.
