NEW SOUTH WALES.
Sydney, August 8. A man named Smith was arrested at Balranald, charged with attempting to poison a man named Lane, a publican, another named Ross, and a woman. It is stated that Sfaith was jealous of the latter, and put strychnine m the men's food. All the victims of the poisoning are recovering.
