ITALIAN ANNEXATION.

It is reported that England has given an assurance to Italy that she will interfere should France attempt to annex Tripoli Paris, August 4 The annexation of Zulla by Italy is considered a direct insult to Franco, who claim it by virtue of a treaty with Abyssinia. Bomb, August 5. The " Riforma " states that Zulla was annexed at the urgent request of the natives. [As there seems to be Bom 6 confaslon as to the place taken by lay, It may bo ex* plained that Zalla is situated on Ansley Bay, a few miles south of Massowah, m lat. 15deg 14mln N,, and 30deg 4lmln E. It haa no connection with another place of somewhat similar name, Zeila, whloh fa a port on the North Somali coast of the Golf of Aden, and forms part of the British protectorate established m 1885,]
