Mblboxtbnk, August 6. Sir Wro, Jervois visited the New Zealand Court this afternoon, and was conducted round the Court by Sir James Hector, the New Zealand Commissioner. Sir James Hector will entertain His Excellency at a farewell luncheon on board the Mararoa on Wednesday.
Auckland, August 6. The speolal correspondent of the "Dew Zetland Herald " at the Melbourne Exhibition, has sent the following cablegram to that journal:— "l regret to say that the many exhibits m the New Zealand Coart are a total failure, and are hopelessly beaten by Tasmania, Queensland, and the other Colonies, Immediate action Is required to remedy this fatal mistake. Mr Witheford, who is at present here, has written to Sir H. Atkinson, offering .to contribute £100 towards obtaining an adequate representation of the mineral resources of New Zealand, and to assisting Id creating confidence iv the colony."
