A meeting of the Ashburton Hospital Board was held yesterday morning. Present — The Mayor (m the ohair), Meßsrs Scaly and H. Friedlander. The Committee appointed to consider a better system of oolleoting tbe fees submitted a report whioh was adopted. The Southland Hospital Board aßked the 00-operation of the Board m urging upon the Government to set aside an endowment of 250,000 aores of land for the purposes of Hospitals and Obaritable Aid, as provided by Clause 88 of the Aot. It was resolved to co-operate with the Southland Board, and to bring the matter under the notice of the members for the distriot. Other business was tr an Bao ted and the meeting adjourned.
