MELBOURNE EXHIBITION

The exhibition building is once more a gigantic workshop, and the work of unpacking exhibits proceeds briskly. The picture galleries, which were the only portion ready, aro engaging considerable attention. A grand concert was held m the building last night, at which all the Governors were present.
The cable message sent by tho Gover nor to the Queen announcing the opening of tho Exhibition contained 111 words, Tho actual time occupied m the transmission of tbo message, from the time it left Melbourne to delivery m England, was 36 minutes.
Several robberies aro reported as having taken placo at the Exhibition Buildings. A number of valuable musical instruments and a quantity of diamond jewellery are missing.
