THE PARNELL COMMISSION.

In the House ot Commons there was a heated discussion on various amendments made to limit the enquiry into the " Times" charges against Mr Parnell, but ultimately all these amendments were rejected. In the discussion on the clause appointing the members of the Commission^ Mr John Morley and Mr Gladstone objected to the appointment of Justice Sir Chas. Mr Parnell accused Mr Chamberlain of betraying Cabinet secrets to Irish members, and of continually trying to undermine the plans of the Irish party.
