NATIVES V OTAGO. [Per Prbbs Association,] Dunedin, Jnly 28 The weather oloared up on Saturday morning, and between six and seven thousand peoplo attended the match. The ground was rather soft, and cut up considerably, but there was no water on It. Otogo were favourites, and justified the confidence placed m them by winning by 8 points to nothing. The Natives were scarcely ever dangerous, and wore forced down seven or eight times, play being only onco or twice In anything like dangeroua proximity to the Otago goal. The Natives showed excellent form Id collaring and stopping rushes, but the passing of the local team was excellent. Their play on the line out, with scientific play In the scrams, was also far superior.
