I The hop gardens of England are ill a critical condition, being infested with vermin, and it is feared they will also become infected with blight. Five thousand quarters of Australian wheat, of September shipment, have been sold at 85s. Tho New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, have received the following cable message from their London office, dated 26th instant :— • " Frozen Meat— The mutton markefc is firm} stocks are not equal to trade requirements. Canterbury mutton is worth s£d per lb."
