ADMIRAL FIELD'S CHARGES.

% Admiral Field will make a personal explanation to the House of Commons on Friday io reference to the statement recently made by him to the effect that members of the Victorian Assembly were amenable to bribery. It is understood that he admits the statement was based on information given him by a certain Victarian squatter so far back as the year 1882, to the effect that the latter had bribed members of the Assembly. No names or dates were mentioned.
