NEW SOUTH WALES.
Sydney, July 2i. Parliament was prorogued by his Excellency the Governor at noon to-day. The House sat all night m order to finish the business.
In the course of the speech at the ceremony of prorogation of Parliament the Governor congratulated the colony on the fact that Government had the foresight and perseverance to pursue a course m connection with the Chinese difficulty which had practically set the disturbing question at rest. He expressed the belief that the firm selfreliant attitude of New South Wales would strengthen ths hands of the Imperial QoVernrnent |n dealing with the matter, The prospect pf uniform legislation on the question on the part ot other colonies was uncertain, notwithstanding the agreement come to by the recent conference held m Sydney.
