ANTARCTIC EXPLORATION.
In the House of Commons, Mr Smith, replying to Mr Cochrane Baillie, M.P, for St. Pancras, said the commercial and scientific prospects of the proposed antarctic expedition were not sufficient to justify the Imperial Government m voting a sum of money m aid of it.
