Mr Peter Williams for Feiedlander Bros.) reports for the week ending Tuesday, the 17th July, 1888 :— On Friday the 13th inst. we held our fortnightly sole of sheep Bkins at our East Street Horse B<ziar. About 450 skins came to hand and the following prices were obtained : Good crosßbreds, 3i 9\ to 4s 7d ; medftr.n, 2i 4d to *2s 8d ; good merinos, 2a 4d to 3i 6d ; medium, la 3d to 2s. A good lina of dry merino orossbreda fetched 5d par lb.

On Saturday, the 14th Inat, we held our weekly sale of horses at our Eaat Street Horse B; ztar Our entry consisted of 25 horses, some of which oame from Timaru. There was a fair attendance of farmers and others, but there appeared to be do life, no person beinc: anxious to buy The entry corslsted principally of hack's and bnpgy horses. Oat rf the lot we placed 10 at tha folio wins: prloes : Medium draughts, £15 to £22 ; gocd harness horse £13 10a ; two year old droujht fi ly, £8 10a ; hack?, £3 to £8. Implements -Dray and frame, £9 : dray, £5 ; harrows, £3. Cows— Springer £5. Produce —Derwents, Oamaru, 6s ; local, 5* per bag ; onions, Id per lb ; bran, 3s per bag ; oatmeal, 2a 6d per basr ; tea, 12j 6i per box ; prime muttoo, l|i to 2d per lb ; carrots, Is 9d per bag. Harness— Bet shaft harness, collar banes and winkers, £3 ; horse covers. 17". ;
