SINKING OF THE ESSEX.
[FIB PREBB ASSOCIATION.] Suez, July 4. The Essex, steamer, has Arrived at tsmailia, the half-way port m the Canal. The fire m the cargo is now out, but the hold is fall of water, pumped m to keep the fire m check. It is feared that much of the cargo is burned, and the steamer must be entirely discharged before proceeding on her voyage. Suez, July 5. The steamer Essex, which arrived at Jsmailia with ijer cargo on fire, sank 7?hep moored m 27ft of water.
