CHRISTCHURCH PRESBRTERY.
Ba ordinary meeting of the Christohuroh Presbytery was held at St. Paul's Chnroh schoolroom on Wednesday Preaent — The Reva D. McLennan, W, West, R. McGregor, A. Blake, A. M. Beattle, R. Erwln, P. R. Munro, H, Irwln, J. Blmalle, J. Smellle, R, Tout. J. Hill (Olerk), J, W. Orea, W. Fiulayaon, 11. Adamsou, and M. J. Erwin, elder. Mr J. G. Kidd *as appointed to represent the Kalapol, and Mr MoF*rlane the Rangtora Mission.
The Reva tde Murray (missionary) and Sir MoOallutn were associated with the meeting.
The Key Mr Blake reported a visit to Rakoia by the Commission appointed by the Presbytery. There were five plaoea of worship, at which the total average attendanqo was over 100, There was a Sunday school and library, There had been a ra&rked Improvement In the spiritual welfare of the people under the Instructions of the atudenr, Mr Stewart. The financial condition of the district was aho very satisfactory considering the depressed state ot times The district had alao benefited by the supervision of the Key Mr West.
On the motion of the Rev R. Evwla, the report was adopted Mr Allan of Ra^aia then placed qn the table the call of the Rev P. J. Riddle, of Waiuko, Anokland. The oall was signed by 31 members and 57 adherents. It was deoided to sustain the call and forward it to the Re 7 Mr Riddle's Presbytery.
The Rev P. Ecwin gave notloe of motion—" That m future it-fee an instruotlon for the P,reßby'tery to Moderators taking oversight of vacant -charges to produce a coil of membership of the congregation, ruoh roll to be sustained by the Presbytery before moderation be granted.,'? ' * '
A quantity of other busings was transacted before the Prenbyfjry' closed,
