ADDINGTON LIVE STOCK MARKET.
* There was a large attendance of buyers | at the Addiogton sale on. Wednesday, both butchers and freezers being well represented. Fat OATrLB— The market waa not.exoeptionally large, but there were some fine beeves on sale, ab high as £8 10s was obtained for a specially good steer, and really good prims heavy weights fetched the figures that have been ruling. Beef brought per 1001 bs anywhere according to quality between 12s 61 for fair up to 17a 6d or 183 for the beat. Stork and Daisy Oattlv —There were but few store cattle In the market, and prices were a bit Irregular. Dairy cattle were dull of sale, but for good stuff pass* able prloes'were obtained and no real change could be noted. Fat Sheep -There was an average entry of fat sheep, mostly however, of exoallent quality. Although' a clearance was pretty well effected, it must be said that the market was rather easier for Borne lines, bat handy butchers' weights prices were well maintained and good freezars kept up to previous rates. Mutton may be quoted ! at If! to 2d. | Store Sheep— There was a fair entry, and they fetohed high prices thanks to the good weather and the abundance of feed. Farmers with plenty of feed were buying with the objeot of feeding off their paetures, and getting forward' stores fattened and into the market before tbe bad weather comes and perishes the paddooks. For* ward wethers fit 'for these purposes were fetching 9 to 10j, and the merinos were bringing up to 4s SM and s*. Pws— There was a fair entry, and a moderate demand was manifested. Baooners were m request and fetohpd quite the prices" of Use week, up to 3£l per lb being given for good quality.
