If any woman wishes to know whether the Is a perfect specimen of her sex she has only to apply the rules laid down for ascertaining the fact and fignre on the results. For a woman five feet five, 138 pounds Is the proper weight, and !fehe be well formed ■he can stand another ten pounds without greatly showing it. When her arms are extended she should measure from tip of middle finger to tip of middle finger just five feet five, exactly her own height. The length of her hand shonld be just a tenth of that, and her foot just a eeventh, and the diameter of her chest a fifth. From her thighs to the "ground she should measure jast what she measures from the thigh to the top of the head. The knee ihonld come exactly midway between the thigh and the heel. Tbe distance from the elbow to the middle finger should be the same as the distance from the elbow %o the middle ' of the chest. £Rom the top of the head to the' chin ihould be jaat the length of the foot, and there should be the Bame distance Between' the ohm and the armpits.
