Sydney, June 22. The English football team won the watch at Bendigo by five goals to one. The Hon. R. Oliver, the New Zealand delegate to the Chinese Conferene, arrived last night. He has interviewed the Premier, and received the official report of the Conference, which has been communicated to Sir H. Atkinson. It is unknown what action the New Zealand Government will tafee m reference to the decision of the Conference, Twenty-five applications have been received for the two Railway Commis-> sionerships. Some applications are from New Zealand, The appointment will not be made until October next. Government will endeavor to give one appointment to a public officer and the other to a business man and an .accountant.
