THE MARKETS.
The weekly returns of the Bank of England published to-day show the total reserve m notes and bullion to be and the proportion of reserve to liabilities 43 per cent, being an increase of ,£400,000 on. the total reserve. The total quantity of wheat afloat for the United Kingdom is 24,260,000 quarters, for the Continent 670,000 quarters.
