Iv view of the recent adverse vote on Mr J, Morley's amend racnt to the Local Government Bill, the Marquis of Salisbury has summoned a special meeting of his party for to-morrow, to discuss the situation and whether Government are to bo dictated to by the Marquis of Hartington, Mr Chamberlain, and the Liberal Unionists as to the prico of their support. The resignation of Mr A. J, Balfour as Chief Secretary for Ireland is believed to be imminent, although the statement has been semi officially denied.
