Jn the House of Commons Mr Parnelll moved the suitability of inscribed stock as trust "investment, and said the scheme ought to be better recognised. Mr Osborne Morgan seconded the motion, and said colonial investment were superior to English because the works returned good interest. Mr Goschen said while desiring to assist the coloniesi he was compelled £0 be extremely jealous' of any trenching^ of the Imperial credit; He admitted the security of colonial stock but questioned the capacity qf Judges to adjudicate with credit to the colonies, All the colonies must be placed on an equality, and England was unable to control colonial funds.
