Jane 19 The Bill introduced by the Marquis of Salisbury for the reform of the House of Lords, proposes that life Peers bo limited to the number of fifty, and the number to be nominated annually is not to exceed five. They are to consist of Judges, Admirals, Generals, Privy Councillors both at Home and m the colonies, Ambassadors, Governors, and also persons of special merit. The Bill has been read a first time.
