THE GERMAN EMPEROR.

♦ (per press association,) Berlin, June 14 The. alarming symptoms of the Emperor's illness reported yesterday are abating, and his Imperial Majesty is now able to take his food m the natural manner. He is a good deal stronger, and constantly discharges State duties. The King of Sweden, who is paying a Royal visit to the Emperor at Potsdam, has been cordially received. The physicians m attendance on the Emperor are of opinion that an abscess is forming between the trachea and the gullet, and that if it bursts upwards his Majesty may recover from the present attack ; if, however, the abscess should burst inwards they think suffocation would be the inevitable result.
