Sydney, Jaae 8. Government have shelved the Local Government Bill. The. Premier last night announced to the House that the Government proposed to ask for a vote for the construction .of a railway line from Hunter River to Tweed River, at cost of He stated further that the railway extension proposals of the Government embraced eighteen miles of new lines, at*a cost, including the Hunter to Tweed line, of eleven million pounds. The Land Tax Bill was read a second time
