Though the weather was very cold, and harea lay very close, sport was better than on the first day of the meeting. The attendance was much smaller. Forward's be d O'Sullivan, by Mornington — Swallow. Fownhope and Agent were first to to slipped, and the former quickly disposed of the Tirnoru dog m a flukey course. Bismarck could not raise a gallop aguinat Old Acquaintance ; and Fair-eyed Susan only got ono opening from Bed Pine, who Bhowed great pace. The Brewer ran a veiy clever course against Jugurtha, who had the worst luck on a circling hare, and worked very wild, Miodanthe and Ringdove ran an undecided. At their next slip the former jaat pulled through a very evenly contested course. Silvermine and. O'Sullivan ran a very wild course, of which the former had much the best. Second Round Clan na Gael beat Snow Joe Brown beat Fownhope Old Acquaintance beat Red Pine Clan na Gael beat pointless, tue fawn running a good course. Joe Brown did all the work m a very short and unsatisfactory fcramble m some tussocks. Old Acquaintance inflicted a severe defeat upon Hed Pine, who was evidently not at home amongst the tussocks. Darkness came on while The Brewer and Rhodanthe were m the slipp, after a very long tramp for a haro AfiHBURTON StAKBO, Second round. Zara .beat Hereford Bonnie Black Bosh boat Mother Hnbbard Raven beat Collego Boy Yoikahire Lacs beat Barristor Avonbello a bye Hereford was not bq bri^M as en the previous day, and Buffered a thorough defeat from tho less 'fancied brindlo. Bonnie Black Bobb had always a little the better of Mother Hubbard m a well contested course. Raven was faster than College Boy m a moderate oourse. Yorkshire Lass caused grea,t excitement by leading Barrister to the. hare, and though she eeyeral times ran y.^y wide, she showed great speed, and won tho best course of the day. Avon Belle ran her bye alone, and was fortunate m quickly losing (he hare.
