FRENCH ANNEXATION.
The French have taken possession o* Les Minquiers, a mass of uninhabited rocks between Jersey and the coast of France, which have been regarded hitherto as belonging to Jersey. . The Imperial Government protested at che annexation, to which the - French Governmeut replied that they, were astonished at the English claim.
