The following business was transacted after we went to preaa yesterday: — R&KtIA. GORGE BRIDGE. After discussion the matter wae deferred till next meeting, the view a of the Government m regard to this bridge to be ascertained In the meantime. SMALL BIRDS. It was resolved, on the motion of Mr Harper, that a sum of £160 be voted for poisoned wheat to bo divided among the Road Boardß and Town Boards according to their rateable value. A motion proposed by Mr Brown that 2s 6d a hundred bo given for old birdß was withdrawn. IRBIGATION FARM. The report of the Irrigation Cimmlttee WA* adopted. ACCOUNTS. It was resolved, on the motion of Mr Harper, that the Government be requested to have the aooounts audited as soon as possible after the expiration of each financial year. 1)003. It was deolded to instruct tb* polioe to take action m regard to unregistered dogs. TENDBBB The following tenders wereacoept d ; — Ploughing Floatation ceaerve, H, Maaaoa 5l 5d per acre. Fencing plantation reserve, P. Fawoett, 130 chains at lOi 6d per ohain ; Houston 70 ohains at 10a 9i. NOTICES OF MOTION. The following notices of motion for next meeting were given : — Mr Brown to move "That the following resolution standing on the minutes, be revoked: 1 That the maintenance of aU bridges that the Oonnoil has constructed be charged to the general account.' " Mr Brown to move "That all bridges exoept the RangUata bridge and Bakata gorge bridge, with a span exceeding 30 t, and which have been erected by the County, or by any Road Board or by both ooDJolntly be maintained by the Oounoll charging ooe half the cost to the general accounts, and the other ha!f to the riding or riding m which such bridge is situated.
