BRAN and SHARPS In Stock, C -—■------__----_--_-___________________________________ IMPORTANT 1 TO Graia Growers. I BEG to call the attention of Farmers and Grain Producers to my new method of poisoning Wheat for the destruction of small blrd_. In former years the poisoned grain supplied from vaeion, sources had some serious defects, whioh I claim to have eutlrely obviated ia my new and patented pri.caßß, By tbe old method, immediately the Wheat begins to grow, the po.Bon is absorbed and becomes useless. Whole Wheat does not absorb the poison beyond the outer skin or bran and a few showera of rain washes it off. I have Imported a maohlne at considerable ooat 'for splitting the Wheat berry along the tireaße and removing the germ, which; of course, prevents germination, thus preserving the lull strength of the poison when applied.. The Wheat prepared by my process absorbs the strychnine thif/bugh the floury portions of the berryaftijiv-t Is 'split : ahd depermed, and as the' bird's are known to reject the outer hu_k : tod eat ; only the Inside, the poison- bannot fail to be effective. Seconds of Wheat.contain so many foreign seeds, Biich ' as oorhbine, correl, dock .weeds, &c, whioh birds never touch, that it is expensive, and a waßte of strychnine to use It aB haß hitherto been done. The small and withered grains m seconds cannot possibly absorb sufficient poison to moke It of any value, and muoh injury ia done to the. land m the dissemination of noxious weeds. I shall be pleased to chow samples of Wheat as it cornea from the maohiue and after poisoning, and explain fully the improvements m my process to all who take an interest m grain growing. J. M.
