They consider the colonies are acting illegally m excluding Chinese who are not paupers, and who are of a * peaceable nature, and that the colonies should unite m proposing a treaty with China. Lord Salisbury is deliberating on the course the Imperial Government should adopt, and expresses displeasure at the hasty action ot Sir H. Parkes. (Beceived May 30, 12.49 p.m.) Sywnby, May 30. The Chinese Conference meets m Sydney on June 12. The steamer Afghan has sailed for Manilia and taken 70 Chinese who are refused landing here. In connection with the new recent attempted invasion of the Parliament Chamber by the Anti-Chinese Demonstration the speaker of the Legislative Assembly has communicated with other colonies to ascertain what steps they would have taken under similar circumstances.
