Sydney, May 26. A shocking outrage was committed m one of the cells of the Central Police Station last night by a prisoner named Hewitt on another man named Park. The latter was this morning discovered horribly mutilated. A valuable discovery of gold has been made twenty-eight miles from Broken Bill. The stone is said to be very rich, and only second to that found at Broken Hill. A rush has set m.
