Adelaide, May 25. . The Rabbit Commission examined Professor Watson on the disease of itch, introduced by him from Germany. The Professor admitted that the disease to be successful m the extermination of rabbits, depended on a moist atmosphere, and would be of no value m many parts of Australia. He stated that the disease is not transmittable to other animals. The witnesses express the opinion that the disease is not effective for the purpose of rabbit extermination. A witness said the sheep would be free from the disease. It has been ascertained that the grazing capabilities of several runs have been reduced from 150,000 to 20,000 sheep, m consequence of the in-roads of rabbits, and owing to this fact a number of runholders are giving up their runs every year.
