A MYSTERIOUS DEATH.

Tha dead body of Mrs Mary M-ick'juzta, \ dressmaker, living at Matigawhare, Dargaville, w»a found yesterday afternoon m the bank of the Mangawhare river at j abb tide. There was a so\ere wound on the month, apparently from a blow, tho Front teeth having penetrated the lip. Mrs Mackeiiz'e was at church on Sunday ovoiiing, aocompauied by two gentlemen friends. About niue o'clock the* soreama of ft woman, apparently proceeding from the direction of the river, were heard, but do ont) waa saou. The case has created considerable excitament, as the elronimtances point to murder or anioide. The deceased, on returning from ohuroh ov a Sunday In March last, found some man In hor house, and sh« bad since b»en In great fear. Hor huaband is Bald to be working at the gurafielris. I
