PALACE ELITE SKATING RINK.

* Mr J. 0. Robs, manager of the Palaoe Roller Skating Rink, which has proved so successful la Danedln aud elsewhere, has arrived in Aahburton, and haa already made arrangements for secucing the Oddfellowa' Hall for aseaaon. The opening night will bo on Friday, 25th inst., when the oeremony of declaring the Rink open for tho season will take place at 8 o clock. Admission on the first night will be by invitation, and every effort will be made to enow the public that the Institution of the Skating Rink in Ashbarton will bt> for the healthful exorcise of its people. No aomaamenfc has of late secured so many votaries among the people of the large towns as that of rinklng, and It will have been notioad from our Pariiamontary notea that oar Li^giglators have beiotoo affected with the delight of it. About two hundred Invitations to residents lu town tmd country will be issued for Friday night, aud vialtora will have an opportunity of seeing Profesasor Arhur Greenwood, a particularly clever profdasional skater who will exhibit his decidedly graceful performance on wheels.
