THE MARKETS.
The v English wheat market is firmer, the Continental market changing a little for the worse. The American market is advancing with increased firmness. Forward business is firm at late prices. Australian wheat, ex warehouse, is quoted at 35s 3d; ex ship, 33s 6d. Off coast cargoes have been mostly sold. New Zealand flour, patent, ex store, is quoted at 235. At auction 1400 casks of Australian tallow were offered ; 700 were sold, realising 26s j for fine mutton, and 23s 6d for medium beef,
