On Wednesday we held a olearing sale of land, live and dead stock f6r Mr Le Breton of Wakanui. There was a large audience, but bidding was somewhat elaok. The land failed co find a purchaser although wo have several enquirers for portions of it and expect to dear the lo 1 ", 1005 acres, during next week, The implements were m very good order and reaohed fair values. The horses were rather of a light description, but those that wero young and spund sold very well indeed aa did the sundries. Every credit is due to Mr La Breton for the manner m whioh he placed his implements before the public and also for the high state of cultivation m whioh he leaves his home block. During the week we have sold 526 aorea at Dromore at £3 4s an acre ; 84 acres at Longbeaoh at £7 an aore and have -daily enquiries from persons either wanting £o buy; rent or crop good blooks of land, but the demand at present cannot be supplied by us.
