HORSE MARKET.
Mr T, Bullock and Messrs Friedlauder Brothers (per Mr Peter Williams) yesterday conducted, at the Ashburl'on Saloyards, the i seventh annual sale of horses on account of Mr John Grigg, Longbeach. There was a very large attendance of buyers from all partsof the distriot, Christchuroh, and elsewhere, and competition waff fairly brisk. The catalogue^ comprised ninety horsea of various descriptions, all of which were sold at prices satisfactory to the vendor, and quite equal to those current at recent local sales. The prices realised were as follows :— Good draught mares and geldinga three to six years old, £16 to £25 ; ditto, medium, £10 to £15; ditto, aged, £7 to£10; unbroken colts and fillies, light sorts, £5 to £10 15g ; tacks, aged, £4 to £7 ss; ditto, urbroken, £6 to £10 15a ; ditto, two and three year olds, * ss.
