Sir, —In your notice of the Inspection Parade held last Tuesday, Major Newall is reported to hare expressed himself "highly phased with the drill of the Riflrs, and alao noticed a marked improvement m that of the Guards." I havf, on former occasions, notload a tendency to lean ia thta direction m reports of Volunteer matters, and I write to put yon on your guard against reoelvlng aa gocpel, communications from that quarter. No doubt your Informant thoaght Major Newall ought- to have expressed himself In the above terms, but nnfortuqately for your informant it was not 'exactly 50...
